Great Post. Surely there is no better way to silence your critics by an even handed, “Hall of Fame/Hall of Shame.” This process merits repeating, and more promotion so you get a wider range of nominations.

I don’t think the honorable mention is meant to go to Canada (the mention states: BEST aid agency success story, not best country to untie aid), rather it is attributed to Engineers Without Borders Canada and the other Canadian NGOs that lobbied for years to get the gov. of Canada to untie aid.

It seems a bit gross to give an honorable mention to Canada for untying its aid for 80 % when 18 DAC-countries untie their aid way more according to a 2008 study….

Why not give this mention to UK, Ireland or Luxembourg, where aid was untied for 100 % in 2008.
